In the summer of 1682, La Salle reestablished his team. He sailed down to Mississippi River with eighteen Indian members. La Salle gave Mississippi River basin its name “La Louisiane”. This name was given in honor of King Louis XIV who was also known as the Sun King. La Salle claimed this entire basin for France. (Parkman, 2004) Today this region is known as Memphis which is a city of the state of Tennessee.

The individual goes through the predicament and often asks the question as to “Why the Misfortune befell him?” The individual then goes down into self-blame and experiences disproportionate and displaced amount of guilt. And the issue the victim develops subsequent to the evil act cannot be easily resolved because there is no one can explain the reason behind an individual that would drive to partake in evil activities.

‘To kill a mockingbird’ is a masterpiece of literary fiction by Harper Lee; the plot is centred on a trial of a black man Tom Robinson, who is accused of raping a white woman. The fact that rape is a serious criminal offence and usually the trial is in favour of the woman; however, the fact that Tom was black further weakened his case against her. The entire story is from the perspective of young children that Jem and Scout Finch. Their father is the only person in the entire who stands up to present and defend Tom.
